Pink Theory, installation 2013

Pink Theory, installation 2013

A clinically white room is crossed with pink strings from three walls . These pink strings extend from white string penrose rhombuses strung from nails on the walls and floor. Each of the three sections of tessellations enlarge using the golden ratio to the next, ranging from 3 to 9 inch forms.

Regardless of the seemingly arbitrary or random decisions made about where and how to place the penrose tiling, order prevailed. The connections revealed a continuing order. The exact forms never repeat but they remained ordered by revealing the golden ratio and the Fibonacci number sequence in their proportions. My attempt at generating chaos failed.
